Rules & Regulations

Borrowing Details:

Timings:
Monday to Saturday                                                  7.45 am to 4.00 pm
Circulation                                                                 9.15 am to 3.45 pm   

1. Bags, Big hand bags, files are strictly prohibited inside the library. Put your bags or any other materials in outside rack.
2. No user shall take any printed materials inside the Library. The users are requested to keep their belongings at the entrance of the library counter.
3. Conduct in Library:
• General principle: maintain silence.
• Quiet discussions are allowed at the library concourse.
• Cell phones and other communication devices are not allowed.
• The (Final Semester) students should return the library materials to the library for obtaining ‘No dues certificate’ for getting their mark-sheet for the final year.
4. Do not enter without Identity Card.
5. Entry into the Library: Entry is compulsory in Library entrance Computer when enter in the Library.
6. Exit from the Library: Check out issued books at library exit, when exit from the library.
7. Any library material will be issued on only self I card. Can not be issued on others’ I card.
8. Any library material will not be renewed.
9. The library materials should be handled with most  care and do not mark, highlight, etc in any library materials otherwise, users are responsible for that and pay penalty for that.  
10. Books from the Open-Shelf Section (can be taken out)
11. The library material is still not returned after the grace period, the student will be barred from using the library facilities until the library material has been returned, and the dues are paid for.
12. Library materials that are not returned the date due are presumed lost. The library will initiate to acquire a new book of the same type and value that the user has to pay.
13. Once issued library materials should not be brought inside, unless it is to be returned.
14. Reference Collection will be issued Only For Overnight.
15. CD/DVD, Magazines and Question Papers will be issued on Identity Card.
16. Penalty is Rs. 50 if CD/DVD lost or damaged.
17. Penalty charge Rs. 5/- per Question Paper if lost.
18. Current issues of periodicals will not be issued.
19. At a time only one issue of periodicals will be issued.
20. Absence from the college will not be allowed as an excuse for the delay in the return of library materials.       
21. Items Recall:
• The College Library has rights to recall any library material, whether it be any library material any time when needed.
• When the library material is being recalled, the borrower has to return the item within two (2) working days. The borrower who fails to do so will forfeit the right to use the library, until the item is returned.
22. Replacement for Damaged or Lost Items:
• If the books that you borrow are torn or soiled in any manners, the borrower has to reimburse the College with a new book of the same type and price.
23. Check the library materials (Books, Magazines, CD/DVD etc.) before issue, In case of defect or damaged in the library materials, should be brought to the notice to library staff on the spot, otherwise library Users have to pay it’s Binding Cost to the library.
24.   Every student shall follow the Rules & Regulations very strictly.
